Descriptive Writing: Halloween Edition
Goal:
To use descriptive writing techniques and adjectives to construct paragraphs which describe the design of your very own haunted house! The descriptions used should help make it easy for a partner to illustrate an accurate picture of your haunted house.
Steps:
- In your Language Arts notebook, brainstorm the design of your haunted house.
- Create a set of paragraphs using highly descriptive words to set the tone and design for your haunted house.
- Edit your work.
- Retrieve the “good copy” sheet from your teacher.
- Rewrite your descriptive paragraphs on the sheet of paper.
- Give your good copy to a “designer” within the class.
- Your designer will now create your haunted house in an illustration. . . You will do the same for your partner!
